Steve performed as Freddie Mercury at the NZ Freedom Air "Peoples Choice" Sports Awards in December 2004 at the Hyatt Hotel in Auckland, New Zealand. Before a room of national and international sporting stars, including Jonah Lomu, Hamish Carter and Sarah Ulmer, Steve worked his magic, keeping the huge crowd entertained in the build up to the awards presentations. A perfect combination.

The Auckland Viaduct will never be the same again....not only because it was the home to the Americas Cup and the venuefor the Auckland Wine and Food Festival.....but also because Steve Larkins was set loose on the festival goers, entertaining with his magnificent tribute to the late, great, Freddie Mercury, in his truly unique style. The many thousands at the festival were up dancing, waving and singing as Steve poured his heart and soul into the show..... sensational!!!

Once again, the feedback is"Event of the Year". We had over 1000 guests in the venue......Freddie Mercury was stunning! He was asked to appear through the secret door as part of the "Julian von Clary" show, (a pretend live TV production). Freddie blew the room away. His last sustained note, that seemed to go forever, told the crowd that this man could sing. Amazing how one man on a very large stage with over $100,000 worth of lighting could seem like a complete band. Freddie is, quite simply, brilliant.

Marie Blundell, Entertainment Director,Wellington "Sevens".

I decided to use Steve and his fantastic tribute to Freddie Mercury to open the 2002 Wellington "Sevens". We flew Steve into the stadium by helicopter toan awaiting 35,000 capacity crowd. He simply "wowed" everybody and continued to entertain throughout the competition....a true professional.

Steve has hit the jackpot with his inspired "nod and a wink" tribute to the wonderful Freddie. His one-on-one interactive performance with the audience and his remarkable vocal ability brought everyone together in a celebration of Queen and their music, and left everyone yelling for more.Steve....you're a winner.
